build.works is a cloud platform for prefabrication and construction companies. It connects Building Information Modelling (BIM) data with everyday work, keeping project information together from design through to completion.
The context
Engineer-to-order construction is notoriously fragmented — sales, budgeting, scheduling, production, and field work often live in disconnected tools. build.works solves this with a classification-centric data model and four connected modules: DEFINE (takeoff & specifications), PLAN (budgeting & scheduling), EXECUTE (production tracking), and WORKER (field reporting).
Our role
We contributed to the platform's development, adding and improving features in a browser-based application that users do not need to install.
- Worked within a complex domain model where BIM data flows across every module
- Built for integration with major ERPs, including SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Improved the performance and usability of a data-heavy application

The platform is in production at build.works, used by construction companies to coordinate their entire engineer-to-order workflow from one browser-based system.
